2024 Schedule Preview

We are just weeks away from the start of the 2024 USL Championship season. As the team continues to sign players and have their workouts to get ready for the season, let’s take a look at how the 2024 regular season and preseason shake up for our boys in blue.

The team announced that there would be seven preseason matchups to help get the team ready for the 2024 campaign. The preseason starts on February 6th as the team travels to Pittsburgh to play the Riverhounds in a preseason friendly. Pittsburgh announced that this friendly was open to the public, as long as you bought a ticket. The Eleven then would return home on Saturday, February 10th for a friendly against the Chicago Fire II team. This matchup is open to the public with a 6:30 pm kickoff time at Grand Park Event Center in Westfield. The team will then host Indiana Wesleyan on Tuesday, February 13th, this match is not being open to the public. Fans can have one last look at the preseason team as they host the Columbus Crew II on Sunday, February 18th with a 3pm kickoff at Grand Park Event Center in Westfield. On February 24th Indy will travel to Lexington, then host DCFC on February 29th (not open to the public), and finish up the preseason with a home matchup against Forward Madison FC on March 1st.

Not long after the Forward Madison matchup the 2024 regular season gets underway. The Indy Eleven will kick off their 2024 season with another edition of “Eleven After Dark” as they play game one in Oakland, at 11pm EST kick off on March 9th.  Indy then comes back east to Memphis to battle Memphis 901 on March 16th. Coach Mcauley will make his Mike debut as the teams first home game is a matchup against Sacramento Republic on March 23rd. Indy follows that up with the first of two matchups against DCFC, this one at the Mike, on March 30. Indy takes a trip down 65 to the wrong side of the river as they play game one of LIPAFC against Louisville City on April 6th. Indy will then host the USL East representative from the 2023 USL Championship matchup as the Charleston Battery come to town on April 13th. Indy will head to Colorado Springs on April 20th,  to play the Switchbacks. Then for the first time ever, the Indy Eleven plays host to North Carolina FC on April 27th before a two game road trip. The first of those two games in another edition of “Eleven After Dark” as they travel to Monterey Bay FC on May 4th. Indy will travel to The Miami FC on May 12th. Indy returns home on May 18 for a matchup with Hartford Athletic. The team then plays host to the 2023 USL champions in the Phoenix Rising on May 25th.

Indy will start June off with a trip to Pittsburgh to play the Riverhounds on June 1st. Indy then travels to Birmingham to play Tyler Pasher and the Legion on June 9th. Indy returns home for back to back home games. The first on June 15th against San Antonio and the second on June 22 against Orange County.  Indy travels to a first time opponent to kick off July. On July 5th the team plays Rhode Island FC for the first time. Following the trip out to the east coast, Indy plays hosts to Loudoun United on the 13th of July and then play host to former Eleven Jordan Farr, Manuel Arteaga and the Tampa Bay Rowdies on July 20th. To finish up July, the team travels to Tulsa on  the 26th. Indy starts August by visiting Augi Williams home for the past couple of seasons, Charleston Battery, on August 3rd. Indy returns home for the only regular season midweek match as they play host for the first time to Rhode Island FC on August 7th. Indy then hosts New Mexico United on August 11th. Indy then pays a visit back out west to battle the Las Vegas Lights on August 24th before finishing the month off at home against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on August 31st.

And just like that there are only two months left of regular season matchups. September starts off with a road trip to Hartford to play the Athletic on the 7th. Indy will then return to the Mike on September 14th to host the El Paso Locomotive. Indy then travels to the North Carolina FC for the first time on September 21st. Indy then has back to back home matchups. The first of these matchups ends September as the Eleven hosts The Miami FC on the 28th. Indy starts the final month of regular season play with LIPAFC part two as LouCity makes their way up 65 to play on October 5th. Indy will travel to Loudoun United on October 8th and then travel up to DCFC on October 12th. The final home game of the season, will be against former Indy player Tyler Pasher and the Birmingham Legion come to town on October 19th. The final games of the 2024 regular season sees the team travel to Tampa Bay to take on former Eleven players Jordan Farr, Manuel Arteaga, and the rest of the Rowdies.

Seeing as there is still turmoil within the US Open Cup, thanks to the MLS, there is no set schedule for Indy’s Open Cup run yet. But as soon as that schedule gets released we will look at what a possible run could look like for the Indy Eleven. As always, if you have yet to get tickets for the 2024 season, make sure to make your way to the Indy Eleven website to purchase them soon! All games will be broadcast on ESPN+ per usual, and MyIndy-Tv-23 and Wish-Tv for local home games. Let’s make sure that we pack the Mike in 2024 to help see our boys in blue fight for a chance to claim title of USL 2024 Champions
